The i-FORCE MAX hybrid system combines this engine with a 48-horsepower electric motor to produce 326 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque on the TRD Pro, Trailhunter, and Platinum trims. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission for improved fuel economy and robust performance.
Performance
The 2025 4Runner can tow up to 6,000 pounds and comes with a four-wheel-drive system and a two-speed transfer case. With a 32-degree approach angle and a 24-degree departure angle, adjustable driving modes, and a slow-crawl feature, the 4Runner offers a smooth ride on and off the road.
Interior
The 2025 4Runner's top trims feature a 14-inch touchscreen, while basic versions have an eight-inch display with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster is available in higher trims. Some variants also include up to five USB ports and a wireless charger. The Platinum trim offers heated back seats, a see-through windshield display, and a phone key. The rear seats flip up, and hybrid models include a small floor step for the battery. The spacious cargo area has additional side storage spots and a power sliding back window. The interior also features leather seats in higher trims, and an optional 11-speaker JBL sound system.
